Only then the data gets transmitted to Facebook. Facebook receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. Facebook Pixel

On our website, the so-called “Facebook-Pixel” of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or if you are resident in the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”), is used for remarketing purposes, to create custom audiences and to measure Facebook conversions.

The purpose of these functions is to present visitors to this website with interest-related advertisements („Facebook ads“) when they use the social network Facebook. Through the remarketing function of the Facebook pixel embedded in this website, a direct connection to the Facebook servers is established when accessing our page. This tells the Facebook server that you have visited this page. Facebook processes this information, assigns it to your Facebook account as appropriate and uses it to generate interest-related advertising.

Furthermore, the aforementioned Facebook functions can be used to track the behaviour of website visitors after they have clicked on a Facebook ad to reach our website. This enables us to analyse the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes and to optimise them for future use.

The cookies set by the Facebook pixel or the data collected from them are unknown to us as the operator of this website and we cannot use them to draw conclusions about the identity of our website users. However, the data are stored and processed by Facebook, which can establish a connection to your Facebook profile, and the data can be used for its own advertising purposes, as specified in Facebook’s privacy policy. This allows Facebook to display ads on both Facebook and third-party websites. We have no influence on how these data are used.

For more information about protecting your privacy, please see the Facebook privacy policy https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

You can also disable the remarketing feature for custom audiences in the Ad Preferences section under https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. You must first log in to Facebook. If you do not have a Facebook account, you can suppress Facebook usage-based advertising on the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance website: https://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices.
