TAKING EASY DOCKING A STEP FURTHER

Successful installation of the lately developed 6:1 pully system to support easy docking on GEMINIS this week. Two blocks of rollers - one on the DualDocker arm, one on the yacht's stern cleat - considerably reduce the effort needed to pull the yacht towards the DualDocker in very windy conditions. The new system will be thoroughly tested over the next few weeks.
The marina ClubNauticoLoPagan is prone to strong thermal winds during the summer months and - which distinguishes it from most marinas - waves due to a lack of breakwater. The three DualDocker systems there need to withstand constant water movement and we have put our systems to an extremely important endurance test in that location.
On Thursday, 16th of July the 'FIESTAS de la Virgen del Carmen', the patron saint of the 'marineros'' was celebrated with a land and water procession which we were invited to join (Thank you, Mariono & Antonia!!). What a fantastic experience: Hundreds of boats joining the 'virgen' on her trip around the Mar Menor ! Spanish lifestyle and culture - VIVA !!!
