While developing the DualDocker we were  looking for the best interface option 'DualDocker & yacht'. Therefore we analysed strengths and weaknesses of cleats.                               
Universal adapter: In the beginning when we tested the 'universal cleat adapter' it didn't provide enough safety in a storm. That's why we have decided not to go down that line any longer.                               
                               
The geometry of the 'ball' has eventually made the race.                      
It meets all requirements:                               

•   perfect connection between ball and socket without play 
•   perfect connection which can convey high forces
•   ball geometry allows movement in all directions 

The car tow bar served as role model for our DualDocker ball cleat adapter                               
                
Meanwhile, the DualDocker ball cleat adapter has successfully passed several tests.

a.) The yacht is equipped with a DualDocker ball cleat adapter        
b.) Exchange of the conventional stern cleats for the DualDocker combi-cleat
c.) We tailor-make your cleat adapters which are attached securely to your existing cleats.
